FLX Chamber Celebrates Sinicropi Flourist 50th Anniversary

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Member Milestone Celebration Open House to showcase the 50th Anniversary of Sinicropi Florist. The event was held on Friday, November 14th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at their location at 64 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls and featured a celebratory group photo at 4.
Founded in 1975 by Joyce Sinicropi, Sinicropi Florist has been a beloved pillar of the greater Seneca Falls and Geneva communities for five decades. For 50 years, they’ve been known for their fresh flowers, vibrant plants, and signature creative designs, becoming the go-to florist for every milestone—weddings, birthdays, sympathy arrangements, get-well wishes, and more. Their popular gift boutique also welcomes customers with a beautifully curated selection of unique items suited for special occasions.
In recent years, as Joyce prepared for retirement, Sinicropi Florist was purchased by Allen Floral Group LLC of Central New York. Owned by Andrew Allen, the group also operates three locations in Syracuse, as well as florists in Cortland and Utica. Since acquiring the business, Allen has remained committed to preserving the shop’s established team of familiar local employees and maintaining the same outstanding quality and service that has kept Sinicropi Florist thriving for so many years.
During the Open House event, attendees enjoyed an array of refreshments and small bites prepared by long-time manager and designer Betty Shaffer, who is often referred to as the face of Sinicropi’s. She has worked for the Florist for 40 years. Attendees were also able to enjoy drawings and sales, and mingle with the staff, including the former and new owners, before gathering for a group photo.

FLX Chamber Celebrates Showroom Grand Opening for Four Winds Chimney

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held a Member Milestone Celebration to highlight the Grand Opening of Four Winds Chimney’s fireplace showroom. The event was held on Thursday, October 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the company’s new headquarters, located at 770 Canning Parkway, Suite 200 in Victor.
Founded in 2018 by fourth-generation mason Anthony Valerio, Four Winds Chimney is the nation’s largest independently owned chimney service and repair company, serving all of Western and Central New York, with services ranging from chimney sweeps and inspections to full chimney restorations and fireplace installations. Following year-over-year growth, Four Winds Chimney is excited to welcome guests to its all-new location in Victor, which features over three times the space of its previous location.
The new showroom features a wall of 19 fireplaces, all on display. These units are fully functional and operational, offering homeowners throughout the region the opportunity to see firsthand electric, gas, and wood-burning options. This location will also serve as both an internal and industry training facility.
During the event, owner Anthony Valerio and his team gave tours of the new space to attendees and gathered for a large group photo with attendees, staff, friends, and family.
“We’re thrilled to open this new showroom, which gives us a fresh way to serve our neighbors and bring warmth and comfort to their homes. This represents a milestone moment for our company and is the continuation of the dream I had eight years ago when I started Four Winds Chimney,” Valerio said. “That dream was to build a company I could be proud of, one that provides the best service, supports our community, and gives our employees the ability to create happy and secure lives for their families. This showroom is that dream coming to reality,” he added.

FLX Chamber Hosts 25th Anniversary for Ravines Wine Cellars

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a Member Milestone Celebration honoring the 25th Anniversary of Ravines Wine Cellars. The event was held on August 14th from 3-5 pm at their Geneva location on Barricks Road. Guests were greeted with a glass of their 2019 Sparkling Limestone Springs Riesling and hors d’oeuvres. During the event, Ravine’s staff were on site to interact with guests, giving tours of the property, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at the operations and one-on-one Q & A session with the owners.
Ravines Wine Cellars was founded in 2000 by the husband and wife team, Morten and Lisa Hallgren. Morten is a trained oenologist/winemaker from France. Famed for their bone-dry, mineral-laden Rieslings grown on over 130 acres of estate vineyards, Ravines purchased and started their primary business on the historic White Springs Farm in Geneva. Today, Ravines Wine Cellars operates two tasting rooms, one on Seneca Lake and their second overlooking Keuka Lake. They have received numerous accolades and industry awards and have been included in countless articles and publications. The Member Milestone Event was an opportunity to reflect on their many achievements and accomplishments, where Chamber Board Members and Ambassadors were on hand to congratulate them before taking part in a celebratory group photo, during their event photo shoot.
