FLX Chamber hosts upcoming AI Search Lunch & Learn session

GENEVA — On Thursday, Aug. 27, from noon to 1 p.m., the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce will host its Summer Lunch & Learn session, titled “Getting Found in 2026: SEO, AI Search, and What Actually Works.”

PENN YAN — The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its July Business After Hours Networking Mixer July 8 at the Hampton Inn & Seasons on Keuka Lake, 110 Mace St. The event offered Chamber members a comprehensive look at the 72-room hotel and 12,000-square-foot event space.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton Penn Yan opened its doors in August 2016, establishing a modern, mid-scale lodging option directly on the northern shore of Keuka Lake. Recognizing a growing demand for a true all-inclusive waterfront event experience, developers subsequently expanded the property. This culminated in the 2020 completion of Seasons on Keuka Lake, the attached 12,000-square-foot luxury banquet and conference center. Today, the combined complex functions as a premier destination where guests can attend large-scale lakeside weddings, corporate galas, and live entertainment at Seasons while enjoying direct access to the hotel’s overnight accommodation and on-site amenities.

Among the 29 teams that registered for the scramble-style tournament, the winning team was Bowers Accountants & Advisors of Syracuse, made up of Scott Gerken, Steve Kelley, Ryan Kretchmer, and Ryan Noone. Originally tied with Dominguez Marketing, which had claimed first place over the past two consecutive years in the Chamber Golf tournaments, final tallies and scoring were conducted by Big Oak staff, revealing that Bowers was the winner of the tiebreaker

Bowers Accountants & Advisors of Syracuse won the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Cup Golf Tournament on May 20 at Big Oak Golf Course.

The team, comprised of Scott Gerken, Steve Kelley, Ryan Kretchmer, and Ryan Noone, finished tied with Dominguez Marketing before a tiebreaker determined by Big Oak staff secured their victory. A total of 29 teams competed in the scramble-format tournament.

Bowers claims Chamber Cup title as tournament draws record participation

A tie at the top of the leaderboard wasn’t enough to keep the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce from crowning a winner at its annual Chamber Cup Golf Tournament.

Bowers Accountants & Advisors of Syracuse captured the 2026 Chamber Cup title following a tiebreaker at Big Oak Golf Course in Geneva. The team of Scott Gerken, Steve Kelley, Ryan Kretchmer and Ryan Noone finished tied with two-time defending champion Dominguez Marketing before final scoring by course staff awarded the victory to Bowers.

GENEVA — The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its April Business After Hours Networking Mixer April 8 at Lochland, Inc.

Based in Geneva, Lochland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Founded in 1903 and located along Seneca Lake, it provides residential and day habilitation services to adults with a wide range of abilities, helping them build life skills and remain connected to the community.

 

The networking event was part of the Chamber’s 2026 Business After Hours Season Pass Program. Throughout the event, attendees took tours of the grounds, spoke with the residents and employees, and enjoyed refreshments. During the event presentation, attendees learned about the property’s history and evolution, from its role in the women’s suffrage movement to its current use. Director Anne Bateman spoke about the work she and her team have been doing to improve the buildings, providing residents with a place to be proud of. Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the grounds led by residents and staff.

FLX Chamber Mixer Held at Exit 43 Truck Wash in Manchester

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its March Business After Hours Networking Mixer on March 11 at FLX Services’ newest location, Exit 43 Truck Wash, at 28 Center Street in Manchester.

Owned and operated by Ryan Boak, the business was named after its location off Exit 43 of the NYS Thruway and provides cleaning services for personal and commercial vehicles and fleets. FLX Services was founded in 2021 and offers mobile truck washing, detailing, and surface protection services, such as ceramic coating, as well as mobile, truck, RV, and boat detailing services.

Attendees toured the wash facility, spoke with the owner and employees, and enjoyed refreshments. The facility can accommodate vehicles of all sizes, from passenger cars and campers to full tractor-trailers, commercial fleets, and agricultural equipment. Boak also shared information about Chosen Spot Detail Products, which offers detailing chemicals and supplies to professionals and businesses across the region, and also features a Mobile Showroom Trailer, which was on display at the event.

FLACRA Hosts Business After Hours for FLX Chamber

CANANDAIGUA — The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its February Business After Hours Networking Mixer on Wednesday, Feb.11, at Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency: Connections Rounded Recovery, at 64 West Ave.

This event was part of the chamber’s 2026 Business After Hours Season Pass Program, and was coordinated with Kurtis VonBergen, director of Marketing & Community Engagement, and Trinity Dziedzic, Marketing & Community Engagement coordinator for FLACRA. Throughout the event, attendees were able to take a tour of the facility, speak with the directors and employees, and enjoy refreshments.

FLACRA began as a dedicated community initiative in 1973. Since its founding more than 50 years ago, the agency has grown from a localized support group into a premier, private non-profit behavioral health provider with a workforce of more than 500 professionals. Under the current leadership of President and CEO Jennifer Carlson, FLACRA has undergone significant expansion, recently achieving national accreditation as the first organization in New York State to be recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Peer Recovery Support Services. The agency has also enhanced its regional footprint, transitioning its Geneva clinic to a state-of-the-art facility on Lewis Street to serve as a comprehensive certified community behavioral health clinic.

SERVPRO of Victor/Canandaigua Hosts FLX Chamber January BAH

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its January Business After Hours Networking Mixer on January 14, at SERVPRO of Victor/Canandaigua, located at 5322 North Street in Canandaigua. The event marked the first Business After Hours mixer of 2026 and was included as part of the Chamber’s Season Pass program.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, meet with the owner and staff, and enjoy refreshments throughout the evening.

SERVPRO of Victor/Canandaigua began as a local franchise under the leadership of owner and president Sam Geyer in April 2020. Since then, Geyer has expanded the business from a small family operation into a year-round restoration service with advanced capabilities. He oversaw a major upgrade to the current North Street headquarters, expanded the company’s commercial fleet, and added specialized reconstruction teams to better serve customers across the Finger Lakes region.

The company provides residential and commercial restoration and cleaning services, including fire and smoke damage restoration, water damage cleanup, mold remediation, specialty cleaning, biohazard cleanup, and full reconstruction services. FLX Chamber Hosts Holiday Open House at One Franklin Square

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held a special Holiday Open House Networking Mixer on December 10 at One Franklin Square in downtown Geneva. The event marked the final Business After Hours gathering of 2025 and was included in the Chamber’s popular Season Pass program. Attendees were invited to visit the Chamber offices and tour neighboring tenant spaces throughout the building. The evening featured food, wine, and beer from Chamber members, along with live music by Flow State Experience, a band made up of Hobart and William Smith Colleges students.

A focal point of the evening was the celebration of Community Broadband Networks’ fifth anniversary at One Franklin Square. Founded in 2018 by industry veteran and Long Island native Thomas Magg, Geneva-based Community Broadband Networks (CBN-FLX) has grown from a three-person startup into a regional provider with more than 40 employees. The company is currently leveraging more than $121 million in federal grant funding to build critical infrastructure, specializing in hybrid fiber-optic and fixed wireless solutions designed to help bridge the digital divide across New York and Massachusetts. By emphasizing personalized customer service and guaranteed-for-life pricing, CBN-FLX offers an affordable alternative to larger providers while expanding high-speed connectivity in underserved rural and urban communities. The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Holiday Open House Networking Mixer on Dec. 10 at its downtown Geneva offices. The event marked the final Business After Hours of 2025 and wrapped up the Chamber’s Season Pass program.

FLX Chamber holds November BAH at AllClean Power Wash

SHORTSVILLE — The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its November Business After Hours Networking Mixer on Nov. 12 at AllClean Power Wash, 4330 Route 96 in Shortsville. This event was one of two remaining Business After Hours events for 2025 and was included in the Chamber’s popular Season Pass program. Throughout the event, attendees were able to take a tour of the facility, speak with the owner and employees, and enjoy refreshments, including featured homemade bread baked by owner Luke Abbott’s wife, Candace.

AllClean Power Wash began as a solo operation by founder Abbott in 2017 with a single residential power washer, which he now displays in the building’s headquarters. In the years since, Abbott has grown the business to a full-fledged, year-round operation employing more than 25 people. He also noted that they have expanded their building on Route 96, grown their commercial fleet, and introduced new offerings to serve their customers year-round. They also currently are expanding and setting up a second operation in Buffalo.

AllClean Power Wash hosts November FLX Chamber mixer

Guests packed AllClean Power Wash in Shortsville last week for the Finger Lakes Chamber’s November Business After Hours Mixer — one of the final networking events of the year.

Attendees toured the facility, chatted with staff, and sampled refreshments, including homemade bread baked by the founder’s wife.

Owner Luke Abbott shared how he launched AllClean in 2017 with a single power washer. Since then, the business has grown into a 25-person team with an expanded building on Route 96, a larger fleet, and a second location coming soon in Buffalo.

Sinicropi Florist marks 50 years in Seneca Falls

Sinicropi Florist celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house hosted by the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, bringing together longtime staff, community leaders, and loyal customers to honor five decades of floral service in downtown Seneca Falls.

The milestone event took place Friday, November 14, at the shop’s location at 64 Fall Street. Guests mingled with the team, enjoyed refreshments, and took part in celebratory activities before gathering for a group photo with the florist’s original and current owners.

SENECA FALLS — The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Member Milestone Celebration open house to showcase the 50th anniversary of Sinicropi Florist on Nov. 14.

Founded in 1975 by Joyce Sinicropi in downtown Seneca Falls, Sinicropi Florist has been a beloved pillar of the greater Seneca Falls and Geneva communities for five decades. According to the chamber, for 50 years, they’ve been known for their fresh flowers, vibrant plants, and signature creative designs, becoming the go-to florist for every milestone — weddings, birthdays, sympathy arrangements, get-well wishes, and more. Their popular gift boutique also welcomes customers with a beautifully curated selection of items suited for special occasions.

In recent years, as Sinicropi prepared for retirement, Sinicropi Florist was purchased by Allen Floral Group LLC of Central New York. Owned by Andrew Allen, the group also operates three locations in Syracuse, as well as florists in Cortland and Utica.

Harvest celebration draws record crowd and family fun

Live music, local brews, and a brand-new kids’ zone brought a big crowd to this year’s Membership Harvest Celebration in Penn Yan.

Hosted by the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce on September 25, the annual fundraiser took place at Climbing Bines Hop Farm & Brewery for the first time — a change that drew record attendance from across the region.

The three-hour event featured a fresh harvest menu from True Roots Catering, live tunes by Brent Bond, and the return of the Harvest Raffle and Silent Auction — both of which hit new fundraising highs.

FLX Chamber Hosts 25th Anniversary for Ravines Wine Cellars

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a Member Milestone Celebration honoring the 25th Anniversary of Ravines Wine Cellars. The event was held on August 14th from 3-5 pm at their Geneva location on Barricks Road. Guests were greeted with a glass of their 2019 Sparkling Limestone Springs Riesling and hors d’oeuvres. During the event, Ravine’s staff were on site to interact with guests, giving tours of the property, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at the operations and one-on-one Q & A session with the owners.  

Geneva On The Lake Hosts FLX Chamber’s August Mixer

On Wednesday, August 13th, the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its August Business After Hours Networking Mixer at Geneva On The Lake, located on 1001 Lochland Rd., Route 14 S, in Geneva. This event was part of the Chamber’s 2025 Business After Hours Season Pass Program, and was coordinated with Jehan Wick, General Manager, and Kristin Welch, Assistant General Manager for Geneva On The Lake. Guests enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the historic landmark property, a sampling of their menu, and the traditional networking opportunities typically offered at the monthly events. The attendee turnout was the largest for the year and the most diverse representation of Chamber customers, with businesses proudly attending from near and far, stating it was their first time at the property.

FLX Chamber Hosts 25th Anniversary for Ravines Wine Cellars

The Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a Member Milestone Celebration honoring the 25th Anniversary of Ravines Wine Cellars. The event was held on August 14th from 3-5 pm at their Geneva location on Barricks Road. Guests were greeted with a glass of their 2019 Sparkling Limestone Springs Riesling and hors d’oeuvres. During the event, Ravine’s staff were on site to interact with guests, giving tours of the property, which featured a behind-the-scenes look at the operations and one-on-one Q & A session with the owners.

Geneva On The Lake Hosts FLX Chamber’s August Mixer

On Wednesday, August 13th, the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce held its August Business After Hours Networking Mixer at Geneva On The Lake, located on 1001 Lochland Rd., Route 14 S, in Geneva. This event was part of the Chamber’s 2025 Business After Hours Season Pass Program, and was coordinated with Jehan Wick, General Manager, and Kristin Welch, Assistant General Manager for Geneva On The Lake. Guests enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the historic landmark property, a sampling of their menu, and the traditional networking opportunities typically offered at the monthly events. The attendee turnout was the largest for the year and the most diverse representation of Chamber customers, with businesses proudly attending from near and far, stating it was their first time at the property.
